Mouse pads

Big mouse pad, big artwork

A classic mouse pad covers the area around your mouse, while larger models stretch across more of your desk and make the artwork a visible part of your whole setup. There are standard mouse pads as well as large XL and XXL versions, so it’s worth checking the measurements on the product page before deciding how much of your desk the pad should cover.

The extra space also changes the design. A wide image can stretch beneath both your keyboard and mouse, while a smaller mouse pad keeps the graphics in one spot. It’s a practical difference, but a visual one, too.

Gaming, anime and film for your desk

Mouse pads draw on artwork from all kinds of worlds. Harry Potter, One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Pusheen and Lilo & Stitch sit alongside superheroes and other universes. If you want to stick to games, you’ll find more products under gaming. For manga- and anime-inspired designs, anime goes well beyond the desk.

You don’t have to build your whole desk around the same universe, either. A mouse pad can be the main feature, with the rest of the desk kept more neutral, or it can be part of a setup with several smaller references.

XL and XXL mean more than the name

“Large mouse pad” can mean quite different dimensions from one model to another. If the pad is going under both your keyboard and mouse, width matters more than whether it’s labelled XL or XXL. The product page shows the measurements, so you can compare the size with the space you actually have on your desk.

The same goes for the artwork itself. A wide pad gives landscapes, groups of characters and panoramic graphics room to breathe, while smaller models work better when a single character or logo should take centre stage.
