The orange cat needs little introduction
Garfield is built around a very distinct character: orange fur, half-lidded eyes, dry humour and an attitude to everyday life that’s rarely enthusiastic. That makes him easy to recognise even in a simple illustration.
On a poster, the expression and character have enough room to carry the whole design. The humour is in the attitude and the look, not in complicated scenes or a large cast. The orange colour and compact figure also make him easy to spot from across the room.
The result is a laid-back comic-strip reference with plenty of personality and very little visual fuss. I hate Mondays. Lasagna helps. Find more familiar characters from film and TV under film and TV.
