Tentacles on the wall
Cthulhu is a design that can handle taking up space. Posters give the creature, the ocean and the darker horror elements room to do more than a small logo ever could.
Other products can go the opposite way, using the head itself, the tentacles or a subtler Lovecraft reference. A 3D mug makes the design more tangible and a lot less discreet than an ordinary printed logo.
That makes Cthulhu a good fit for both wall art and more sculptural products. As long as the tentacles and horror are part of the picture, the universe can work across all kinds of formats.
Horror without the jumpscares
Cthulhu merch works because the design is already unsettling in a rather elegant way. It can be dark, detailed and a little absurd without having to shout for attention.
